Nashoba is a real sweetheart of a doe.  She unfortunately lost quardruplets as a first freshner last year.  She had fantastic milk capacity giving 3-4lbs of milk per day during her 9 month lactation. [She only stopped when I dried her off pre-breeding].  She is an easy, milker with very large teats.  We are looking for tighter attachments and improved form from Bolero.  And, yes I’m hoping that he passes on his jet black color!

Great capacity first freshner udder!

I having been thinking about getting 2 baby kid female nigerian dwarf goats. I have put over a years worth of thought into it, i’ve been reading as much as i can about them. The care and keeping of them. I only want to start out small with only 2 just for pets, not milking or breeding. Do you have any available for me to possibly come and see and maybe putting a deposit on them? Or i am not sure how it works, i am in no hurry taking my time so just coming and seeing the goats would be awesome for me. I have a huge heart when it comes to animals.

    • HI JoAnn, I would be happy to help you in starting out with goats. We have 1 week old buck/doe twins and yesterday our doe Willow, had 4!! 3 bucks and 1 doe. The does are spoken for. I have 2 does due to kid around 5/6 and another in early June. With luck we will have does. Since you say you do not want to breed or milk I would recommend getting Wethers – fixed males. They are very gentle and sweet and do not smell bad. Any males that will not be sold as intact bucks will be sold as wethers for $100 each [$75 each for 2 or more]. Feel free to email if you need more information. h_ortins@yahoo.com. Helen

Hi Helen, I was very happy to hear back from you. I am in no huge hurry to get my goats so I can wait till may or June to look into getting them. Is there any chance I can make an appointment to come and see your farm of goats. I want to take my time in this decision and kind of need someone to mentor me in this process. I would be greatly appreciative. I am looking into getting my area for the goats fenced now.
